Biographical / Historical
Lawrence C. Petri (September 12, 1905-November 5, 1977) was a partner in Kinsel and Petri Jewelers (established in 1860 by C.M. Kinsel), a leader in the Knights Templar of Georgia and was also involved in oil and gas exploration in both Georgia and Texas. He was married to Marjorie Cargill Petri (September 28, 1905-October 24, 1994), who was the daughter of J. Ralston Cargill. She was born and died in Columbus, Georgia.
