George Stanton Papers
Scope and Contents
It is important to note that George Stanton often corresponded with many people and organizations using his official Columbus College/Columbus State letterhead making it difficult to separate clear boundaries of duties. Administrators for the College addressed this in a memo which can be found in the University Records for the Biology Department. This being said, information regarding the Muscogee County School Board, Stanton’s ideas on education, conservation and more can be found across several collections.
