Biographical / Historical

John Beverly Amos was born in Enterprise, Alabama on June 5, 1924. He died 13 August, 1990 and is buried in Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia, along with his wife, Elena Diaz-Verson. They are buried in Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia. He was the founder of AFLAC insurance, which has its world headquarters in Columbus. Both John and Elena Amos were philanthropists, giving generously to cancer research, libraries and many other charities.
