Biographical / Historical

Three Arts League was founded in the spring of 1927 by William. De L. Worsley for the purpose of inspiring the best art, music, drama, and dance. The league originally did not have their own theater and hosted various different performances in differing locations in Columbus, GA. In 1931, Three Arts League began working with Community Concert Corporation and founded the first concert series of the 1931-32 season. Virginia Illges, who also helped to begin the league, is the main focus in regards to people in Three Arts League.
