Biographical / Historical

Francis Reich Brooks was born on September 4, 1916 to the late Joseph and Anna Doran Reich. She lived her whole life in Columbus. After graduating from Columbus High School and attending business college, Francis married Benjamine Brooks in 1938. They had one son, Benjamine Brooks, Jr.

Mrs. Brooks was an active member of the United Methodist Women Association, a founding member of St. Luke’s Prayer Chain, Shaw Fellowship Class, Columbus Country Club and Historic Columbus Foundation.

Francis Reich Brooks passed away on October 27, 2014 and is buried at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, Ga.
