Scope and Contents
This collection contains correspondence concerning the disposition of those papers of W. O. Tuggle which were not deposited with the U.S. government after his expeditions among the Creeks and Yuchi in the 1880s, as well as materials generated during the publication of a journal article and a monograph, Shem, Ham & Japheth: the papers of W. O. Tuggle, comprising his Indian Diary, sketches & observations, myths & Washington Journal in the territory & at the Capital, 1879, both by Eugene Current Garcia and Dorothy B. Hatfield and published in 1961 and 1973, respectively.
