Tuggle which were not deposited with the U.S. government after his expeditions among the Creeks and Yuchi in the 1880s, as well as materials generated during the publication of a journal article and a monograph, Shem, Ham & Japheth: the papers of W. O. Tuggle, comprising his Indian Diary, sketches & observations, myths & Washington Journal in the territory & at the Capital, 1879, both by Eugene Current Garcia and Dorothy B. Hatfield and published in 1961 and 1973, respectively.
