The Bradley Papers were found when the records of the Eagle & Phenix Mills (MC 13) were being re-processed as a result of the move of the CSU archives around 2015. The re-processing of the Eagle & Phenix Mills was begun by Jesse Chariton. During his work on the corporate records, he identified the Bradley papers. His work was completed by Tom Converse in 2023.

Nuckolls, James Thornton (November 24, 1843-October 13, 1910) Bradley was the executor of the will of his brother-in-law, James Thornton. J.T. (as he was known) Nuckolls was the ninth child and third son of Nathaniel and Louisiana Nuckolls. He was born in Oswichee, in Russell County, Alabama where he also died. He married Emma Jemima Bradley (1846-1924) in 1869, also in Russell County. Emma was the oldest child of Forbes Bradley and Theresa Clark Bradley and sister and sister-in-law to Alice Bradley (who married Thomas Jeremiah Nuckolls, Sr.) and sister to W. C. Bradley. James and Emma had two sons, Forbes Bradley Nuckolls (1869-1943), and James T. Nuckolls.

Nuckolls, James Terry (d. September 1, 1940) James Terry Nuckolls was the son of Bradley’s sister, Emma Jemima Nuckolls and James Thornton Nuckolls. He too was known as J.T as well as Jim. He was married to Willie Cheney Nuckolls. James Terry and Willie had two sons, Thomas J. Nuckolls and E.B. Nuckolls. He also had a grandson, A.O. O’Neal, Jr. J.T.’s widow, Willie, was the actual executrix, but W.C. Bradley and his secretary, H. G. Sapp, prepared the paperwork related to the execution of the will of J.T. Terry
