From the Collection:

This collection consists of materials which were located in a single filing cabinet and represent research from former Museum Curator and archaeologist, Frank T. Schnell and Joseph Mahan. Materials cover topics such as Native American culture in the Southeast, archaeology, Chattahoochee River, Confederate Navy, various museum exhibits, Westville, Mobile Museum, and more. The collection is roughly arranged the way in which they were found in the original filing cabinet and have been arranged by subject matter in alphabetical order.

Processing Information

Includes mostly newspaper clippings about historic preservation and renovations of local buildings in Columbus. These include The Rankin, Pemberton Home, 12th Broadway, Lion House, Courthouse. Four (4) photographs include images of the fire tower, Broad St. street scene, and the market street scene.
